Solania Sprinklesocket was born in a small village on the outskirts of Brevoy. Early on it was clear that she was no ordinary girl, even for a Gnome, as strange happenings went on around her, and she mastered her innate illusion powers faster than the children around her. She was in short, a prodigy, and well liked by everyone.
She had a relatively normal childhood, filled with learning the consequences of life, until she came of age, and started suffering from the Bleaching as all gnomes do. She set out to explore the world.
What happened next is something she never talks about. She was captured and enslaved by a creature she never saw, who’s voice spoke in her mind and told her to do terrible things. Her mind rebelled against the enslavement, but it was powerless to break it, and so her mind and body atrophied to a point near death, over the course of a few years.
It slowly started turning her insane, being driven to the brink of destruction time and time again, only to be brought back at the very last second by the unseen force in her life.
This all changed one day, when the unseen force was attacked, she never saw the attackers, but she suspected a bunch of Adventurers that she had been harassing on behalf of the “Voice in My Mind” (as she’d taken to calling it) to be the attackers. She felt it’s grip slacken on her mind and she tore free once more. To this day she still fears it’s return, as she cannot bring herself to believe that it might be defeated.
She fled back to the lands where she had come from, and found gainful employment in the service of the noble house Medvyed, where her attachment to the Fey of the First World has served her well. But now, she fears that the Voice in My Mind is drawing closer again, and it’s time for her to move on.
